October 15 – December 7
What’s the Medicare Open Enrollment Period?
Prescription drug costs, health plan benefits and networks for your doctors, hospitals & pharmacies can change each year with Medicare Health and Drug plans.
Your own needs may have changed over the last year.
October 15 to December 7 is the time frame when all people with Medicare can change their Medicare health and prescription drug coverage for the following year to better meet their needs.
Make sure your plans will still meet your needs for the following year. If you’re satisfied that your current plan will meet your needs for next year and it’s still being offered, you don’t need to do anything.
What can Medicare Beneficiaries do during the Open Enrollment Period?
You can change your Medicare Health and Drug plan during this time frame. You can actually make multiple changes during this time and your last plan selection submitted by December 7th will be the plan you are enrolled into for the next year. Your new plan will go into effect January 1st.
